Drivers Door

Hi Guys,

My Driver Side electric Window recently stopped working, assumed it was the switch panel & ordered one from Lord Lucan. (should be with me early next week)

Now the Drivers Door will not lock, either with the Key or the Remote.

Are the 2 Linked?? or am I in for an expensive repair job?

Any comments or advice would be greatfully received,

You should have used the search function a bit more.

Some of the wires that go through the flexy rubber tube near the door hinge, can break from years of bending/flexing as the door is opened and closed.


Ignition on, hold down the window button and at the same time slowly open the door to see if the window moves.

p.s. Make to the window lock button is up first!

OK, then it's most likely the switch panel then. Although the door locking wiring is on a seperate switch from the windows, so I still think there's a break in the wiring.

Door not locking could also be a little spring broke on the mechanism - happened to me but with the door locked.

Switch panel changed, still have the same problem,

Must assume it is a wiring issue as Bushwhacker suggested.

Cannot see anything or no reaction when moving the wiring with door open.

Are there any local guys out there willing to help for suitable reward (beer or cash)

I am not confident about taking the door panel off & poking around, would rather have a go with somone who has an idea what they are doing.
