Depends on where the views are being debated to some extent IMHO.

It generally stays fairly cordial on here despite some vastly differing viewpoints on most topics.

I can see what you mean by tending to keep things on topic given that it's a Toyota Surf/4runner forum but without debate and differing opinions life would get pretty boring.
