Hi all, i am in the process of buying an ssr 3ltr surf 1994 110,000 miles on the clock for £1900 is this about the right price. Also what sort of mileage can i expect from this engine without major work and expense, and are parts easy to get hold of. Thanks Keith.

Hello Sid, I would say 1900 is strong money, unless it's a real nice one with no faults.

In good condition & well serviced you can expect 250,000+ miles out of the engine.
Price depends on condition really but for £1900 I'd have thought it would be in very good condition.
Parts are easy to come by & reasonably priced, its the fuel consumption that hurts, 18/25 MPG.

and id say £1900 is a bit steep for a 2nd gen . for a few hundred extra you could pick up an early 3rd gen .
i paid £850 for my 2nd gen , although it is a 2.4 but still the price of them is good at the moment
