Interesting little deflector/vent at the back of the cowl hood, wonder what that does.

Don't know much about it, but Chevy called it "Cowl induction". It was to get more air into that great big greedy bucket of a four barrel carb. No wonder those babies only did about twelve to the gallon!.....Cheers....Mick.
