hey guys, i picked up my first surf today, its a gen 2, 3.0TD, ssr-v, done 160,000kms, so just over 100,000 miles. body work is in great condition. needs a good service with all oils and filters antifreeze and a cambelt change, it looks like its been well looked after, i just want to do it for a piece of mind,
the rear well locked in sensor thing is a bit iffy. the light keeps flashing on the dash on uneven roads, probably just needs adjusting.
bit of rust on the bottom of the drivers door but found a second hand door for £30 in the same colour.
also it gets a bit warm if you drive it hard for a long time up a steep hill, think a good service will help this and the fan rebuild that ive read about.
no knocks or bangs from the suspension, transmission is nice and smooth, hardly any smoke on start up, and only a little on kickdown. there is a little bit of wheel wobble, but could do with some new front tyres so ill get them all balanced then,
once ive given it a good clean and some love ill get some pics up for advice and comments.
