body lift

    Hi all,i was going to give my truck a lift this evening(50mm),could any of you guys tell me, can i go ahead with the lift without the bumper lift brackets and rad drop brackets,just to get the job done tonight,then at the weekend do the brackets? (E.G leave the bumper on for now?
    Not going to rest till its broke

    You have a 3.0l so don't need a rad drop as your filler cap is on the rad.
    Bumper will fit back on in original position, you'll just have a 2" gap between bumper and grill .
    So yes you'll be fine

        Just remember to remove bottom half of fan shroud or the viscous fan will catch it when body is lifted

            Is there a simple way to remove the gap between bumper and body ?
            Or is it accepted that it'll always be there and looks cool

            Not lifted mine yet but its a job for the new year......

                  You need to make some plates to lift the bumper up.

                    I used 2ins angle brackets broken in half they are already drilled to drop the rad

                        Completed a 2" lift at 10 o'clock last night, with a help from and thanks to BeamMeUp6375 (http://www.hiluxsurf.co.uk/member.php?u=52193)

                        Just need to sort some brackets for the bumper now, hopefully get that sorted in next day or so as I realy want to take the Surf for a "test drive" !
