  • Made it to Cape Town

Guess who? I know, long time and all that...

Anyway, just thought I'd drop in and say we made it! We drove our two 2nd gens 21630 miles from Carrickfergus to Cape Town, in 7 months, through hell (revolution) and high water.

Lots of pics and videos on the site, www.surfingafrica.net - here's a few. Click on any to see bigger:

Beside pyramids in the Sahara, in Sudan

Huge termite mounts on the road in Northern Kenya

    Top of Kili!

Less said about these days the better...

    Tanzania!

    Skeleton Coast, Namibia

Cape Augilhas, the southern most point in Africa, 4 weeks ago.

All the pictures are on a Picasa album, here

I thought that was an amazing trip, made even better by the fact that you started from Carrick, just up the road from me. Absolutely well done.
Its all about the journey not the destination.

Thanks guys Was a spectacular adventure - not planning on doing a full write-up here but have put a whole lot of videos on my youtube page, which should give a picture!

Working on a longer single video of the whole trip, TV documentary style, and I'll post it here once it's done too.
