  • Shiny thread, no dirty trucks here thank you.

Bought some pukka carnuba wax polish from here......
    http://www.valeterspride.co.uk/5-lit...lish-196-p.asp

£23.00 delivered, but thats for five litres!! (A gallon!)

Forget all those £8, £9 even £12 little 750ml bottles from Halfords and the like which contain silicone for a quick and easy shine that only lasts a couple of days, less after it's been rained on, this stuff beats them all, highly recommended.

Can be applied to hot or cold paintwork, even in direct sunlight. Goes on and buffs off with minimal effort and the shine is very deep even after one application.

Done my (the mrs') truck today which has straight black paint i.e. no clear coat on top. No clay bars involved, just a wash with cheapie Tesco car shampoo yesterday, chamios'd off and then this polish on today.

    arrrgh my eyes!!!
That is one shiny truck. I have always used this stuff but it is a bit of a chore

But to clean and polish the truck takes about 4 hours which isn't nice.
After having a look at the weblink I think I might have to throw some money their way

Whats that around £9 for a 500ml bottle?
I have some Autoglym and it's not as good as this stuff, plus you don't get that white residue between the panels etc.

I normally use that black T-cut polish which is very good, but contains silicone which seems to create static when you polish the truck and attracts dust 30 mins after you finish.

I just polished Lexurf VII's bonnet and it's good on clear coats too.

Just think how good 'various stickers' will look on that paint.

Wish my surf could be all shiny again, way to many tree branch scrapes down the sides and stone chips from the oversized tryes on it now dammit, one day on the river without flares and the paints rooted.

Oh well just an excuse to leave it covered in mud

On the other hand my motorbikes super shiny, mabey this makes up for my beaten old truck

Anyone know a cheap place in new zealand to get a repaint? rather jelious of youre truck now BUSHWHACKER
