Hi Guys!
Im new owner of a SH Hilux with 154.000km on bord. Car is going nice, engine like new. No overheating till now and is verry hot in Romania. Its driving wrightehanded (made in Japan) and im happy with the car.
I have a question abouth the year of manufacturing becouse on the documents its appears like first registration is in 2003!!! Frame no. is: LN130... like 1991 production, but the previous owner said that this is an anniversay edition of the car so its not produced in the '90s. Were can i look to see the manufacturing year (on the car)?

Hi,
Check where the front seatbelts are attached to the pillar near the floor, there will be a tag sewn into them here which gives the year of manufacture, can't remember if it gives the month as well.

True...The 4th generation started production in 2002......Think you'll find the 2003 date on the rego documents are when the truck arrived from Japan....

I`ll look to the seatbelts. Its possible that the car come from Japan couse all tags on it are in japanese VIN code is only 12 characters long and so on... What is the normal consumption on 2,4L diesel engine?
It has an ECT button witch i didnt find it on owners manual original from 1990 years - I downloaded from forum!
Also i couldnt find the use of the O/D on off button on the automatic gearbox stick...

Solved: O/D = overdrive, car using only first 3 gears of 4
ECT = power driving, auto.transmision changing speeds at bigger rev.

My car is imported in 2003 in EUrope ( first registration - GB) from Japan and then in 2009 came in Bulgaria with new owner. Now im driving it with Bulgarian reg. no. The colour is Bordo (like red). I`ve seen one Surf Limited Edition like mime in Bucharest but with Left Hand driving stearing well.

What is normal consumption of the car? I have like 13 L/100 KM with 90km/h trip
In town looks like 18L/100 km!!!
