The first mot failure I've had in ten years across three vehicles, but I was expecting it due to the weight I'm always carrying, plus I had an advisory last year, one of the rear shockers is leaking so popped down to toyota and ordered two new ones picked them up 48 hrs later, am now waiting for the garage I use to fit them. I have not studied the units but in the wrapping there are new seperate bushes. Also a lamp out on the rear number plate which I will replace tomorrow.

8 bolts?
He only order 2 shockers, mind you 2 of them are blo0dy tough nuts to undo though!
Maybe the op's trying irony for the first time?
Sounds like a decent MOT - could be a lot worse..."B.A." Baracus: "Talk to me, talk sense so I can talk back. Not all this jibberjabber like breaking the peace and all that."

I was not suprised on the contrary in fact. Just thought I'd join the other people who post up pointless posts, and I use a garage to do the work as I gave up squirming about under vehicles to carry out repairs many years ago, also the toyota dealer is only 1 mile away from me and I will always use genuine toyota parts over substitutes every time.Originally posted by BUSHWHACKER View PostWhy are you surprised it failed if you had an advisory on them LAST YEAR!!!
I don't understand the point of your post other than you wanted to tell everyone you got ripped off by going to a Toyota dealer for parts you can get elsewhere in the same time?
