  • 3rd gen tcase changing??

    Hey fellas.
found a new multi mode transfer box for my 3rd gen thats workin 100%
iv never changed a transfer box before so wats involved other than the usual unpluggin sensors disconnectin prop shafts etc??is there any probs or tips for takin it off the back of the autobox??
And wen im puttin the new one on is there any gasket between the autobox an transfer box that need to be replaced to change the box??or is it jus a bolt off bolt back on affair like a normal gearbox pretty much??

also is the 4wd ecu seperate to the main ecu??and if so where behind the dash is it??
    thanks
    dara

Huh? Wassat? I've been ill don't you know!

Tis easy, undo props, shifter lever, wiring, crossmember and attaching bolts, and it falls off in your lap.

              No gasket.

The 4wd ECU is behind the passenger kick panel.
