If I were to arrange for a Lexurf build (which I probably will if you're still doing them in a couple of years time Vince!) I'd definitely go for a 3rd gen one...
Glad you got it - bargain either way I reckon. I'd say V8 it, but I don't think any of these 3rd gen types are brave enough for a V8...

The only things stopping me getting the Surf 'Vinced' are:
1. Complete absence of dosh for the work
2. Complete absence of dosh to run it
3. It's the wife's not mine
4. It's really tatty and I'd want it to look the dogs rear wheels
I know there's the LPG option but that's far too lame in my book ...
I'd say fix for peanuts - nothing to someone with your proven enginny skills. Why rip it all out and cost yourself a few grand? You'll never get that money back, but a fixed 2.7 should fetch you £3k easy.

Vince, your market is specialist perfectionist. I just dunno if you could sell that to the masses. But at that price, like I said, it might be worth a pop.
