  • @Bushwacker, Lexsurf V1, Lexsurf V11?

Excellent work on Lexsurf V1 Vince, you've got this conversion down
    to a t.

I would love to do the conversion myself but would'nt have time,
work commitment's etc. TBH its probably beyond my ability's anyway,
most of my mechanical experience being centered around hgv's and heavy plant.

Is there a waiting list for you to carry out the conversion?
Anybody lined up for Lexsurf V11?
    Still on a mission.

After Lexurf VII which I'll be starting this week, there are no others inked into the schedule yet. A couple have expressed interest but have not confirmed as yet.

I won't be starting on another one until mid-September, as I've been told to fix the house first!!
So if you would like to have number eight, book early to avoid disapointment.

SOLD, lexsurf V111 is mine. I will start collecting parts in the next
couple of weeks. Is the parts thread up to date Vince?

I need to find a decent LS400 too. Any particular year i should
look for? Any tips on what to steer clear of ?

If a deposit is needed to secure a booking, please PM me the
      details.

Good luck with lexsurf V11 Vince. I will be following with renewed
      interest.

Good luck with the house repairs too.

      Barry.

        Excellent!
Just been through the list and 'adjusted' it. All the links seem to be working.

Any LS400 from 1990-1997. Below 200k miles if possible but not that important if it's been looked after.

Whats not included on the list is engine parts; timing belt, water pump, plug leads, sparkplugs etc. if you want a trouble free, smooth running V8 for the next 10+ years it's worth renewing these parts plus a few of the sensors as well.

I'll list the parts later and add them to the list.
The cheapest place to get them all is from the U.S. unless you know of a good deal on Lexus ignition parts over here?

p.s. There are two h's in Bushwhacker but no s's in Lexurf!

Most of the item's on the part's list should arrive next week.
Struggling with the soarer oil filter housing though, can't
              find one anywhere.

Try'd the breaker's on ebay, soarer sanctuary, breakeryard.com,
              1st choice spare's, jap part's and more.

              Running out of idea's.
              Anybody got any suggestion's?

Leave it with me, I'm getting some oil filter brackets CNC'd to allow a remote filter set-up.

                    Hi Vince
I know your pretty busy but if you get a minute could you list the engine parts needed please, just to give myself plenty of time to get everything in place. I've been running the LS400 for a couple of weeks
and its sweet as a nut, no issues atall. Its a 1997 with 140k miles.

I've also got someone interested in buying the 2.4 out of the surf.
Does this create any problems at your end, getting the truck with no engine.
Is there anything you need left in the engine bay? I remember from reading a
previous thread that you need a banjo fitting from the p/s pump but can't
find it now. Is there anything else?

Could you show a photo of your V8, I just need to know if it's a UCF10 or UCF20.

I've had four non running trucks here for the conversion, so no problem if your engine is missing.

All I need are the power steering pipes that connect onto the steering box and the transfer case. You can leave the Surf transmission in there too if you haven't got a buyer for that as well.

Nope, I can see it's a UCF20 engine, the same as Lexurf VII's. Looks like yours hasn't seen a mechanic for several years either!

These are the main parts I replace to keep the engine running smoothly for the next 18 years......

                          And two of these....

Those parts can be obtained from the U.S. for much less, but by the time you add shipping to the U.K. and then import duty, it works out the same.
