Passed a biker in a ditch on the outside of a bend on the Leominster / Bromyard road yesterday. Fire engine, paramedic bike and ambulance all there already, alsongside about 10 other sports bikes parked up. His bike (well, I assume it was his) was in the field on the outside of the bend so for him to be in the ditch, I think he must have realised it was all going Pete Tong, and banged out.

The ambulance crew were in the ditch attending to him while we sat waiting for the Fire bobby to wave us past. Left the kids a bit pasty faced.

Oh, and regards fuel, Put £37 in the Fiat on Friday on a tank with 1/8th left. Done 197 miles since then running the kids back and forth to rellys, and according to the trip computer still have a range of 300 miles

I have seen some nasty accidents and have been told about a few that makes me think why?, but then you get on it and you feel so free and the fact that its bad for your health dissapear almost instantly.

I have had about 6 accidents in the years i have been riding and have been very lucky to only have broken my thumb. There are those that push it too much and as you regail your tail those are the once that this happens too.

hope the kids are ok and may be it will be warning to them.

I can remember the days when I used to struggle to get a quids worth of four star in my moped! It must have been less per gallon in those days than it is per litre now...

Most I've ever put in the Surf must be about 65 litres when I ran out of fuel and filled up from empty.

EDIT: Just looked up the price of fuel "back in the day" and it was a bit more expensive per gallon than it is per litre these days. 35p a litre would still be nice to get back again though!

I have no idea how much fuel I put in any of my vehicles, I have no idea how much fuel costs and I have no idea how often I fill them. Why on earth would anyone want to know this information?
Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

For the same reason people apparently want to know the difference between 'lose' and 'loose'?

I'm not entering into 'the debate' here because I don't actually know what it is. Where is the link? The fuel I put in my tank tends to stay there until being required to explode.

I fill to the brim on occations, never ever seen any leak out, never mind a roundabout how about almost tipped over off roading? but I do wonder where it all went after only 520km

I put 62.37 litres of diesel in just now, and it cost me £86.01.

I put £110 in a rangerover once.. And it only got me about 250 miles I think lol!

Hi Curly. Sorry to veer offtopic, but i see you're from Horsham. Did you ever fill up at Buck Barn petrol station? I worked there for the past 4 years (up until last thursday) and i used to see a whole bunch of surfs come in and fill up. We were allways too busy to chat to customers, so i never got to ask if any of them were fellow forumers! Just curious, tis all
