I remember reading a magazine review of them when they first came out donkey's years ago. It could, apparently, drive over a two foot high log (or other obstacle).

They looked a bit different then, though. Much prefer the new look. I think the UN bought all of them.

Hello Alan. As far as I was aware, the version that you posted was only a (BJ/FJ) retro styled concept/prototype based on the Megacruiser. I think that it was shown at the Tokyo motor show last year. Got to agree with you, if it was put into production looking like that, it would be stunning! Now what about a short wheelbase version!...........(Slopes away to find a box of tissues)...................

Does anyone else find it hard to believe that it could clear a 2ft high obstacle with what looks like 1ft of ground clearance?

Does it have in cab adjustable ride height, or some other clever system?

I always saw them as a H1 with a Toyota badge on them.

the layout is pretty much identical, split interior etc.

Awesome, never seen one in the flesh though.

                More Engine.

I just did a google on that because it was kind of in the back of my mind after making such a rash statement. Standard ground clearance is apparently 16.5 inches, which still isn't too shabby.

The pic in Sancho's post is a little like a cross between a G-Wagen and a Military H1.
