A wee 'heads up', especially as you're discussing this on an open forum.

I spoke to my 3 insurers, Flux, MCD and Sky, they all confirmed that a remote start system would invalidate my insurance if I was caught with it. Note the word invalidate, they also confirmed that if I was in an accident, I'd not be insured if they spotted the remote start.

If you unlock via remote, you have 20 secs to switch on the ignition or it re-arms.

Apparently my MCD policy (bike insurance) has a clause explaining the remote thing; but I can't find it.

It doesn't work on the bike anyway, unless I override the clutch inhibit.
