no lights

i have a problem with my head lights. bulbs are fine tested eleswhere.
sidelight work fine.
mainbeam flash is fine.
dipped and main beam not fine.
relay seem to click correctly
and interior lights on dash and clock brightness works like the lights should be on.
any ideas anyone and wheres this combination switch thats in the wiring diagrams?????????

what exactly doesn't happen?

the main beam works on flash but not on permanent?
sidelights fine.
dipped beam not working or just when you turn on main beam?

when you flash the dipped beam should stay on but when you switch the main beam "on" then the dip goes out

if its just when you turn the main beam to "on" then i'd imagine that it's the stalk not "locking" so it flicks straight off again?

but i've probably got the wroung end of the stick!
