Got the demo and sample maps and had a play with it at Cotswolds Outdoor shop the other day. Cool.

It gives you o/s 1:25000 and 1:50000 maps and aerial photos that you can plot your route on or offroad and transfer to handheld GPS or PDA or laptop equipped with a GPS antenna.

Great for offroad days.

All I need now is the crack to unlock the demo....................( JOKING I'll buy it!)

Yes, an excellent piece of software, Ideal for walking and hiking as it has a lot of features suitable for this pastime.
There is also Anquet which too uses 1:50,000 Landranger and 1:25,000 Exlporer OS maps. Not as many features as MM hence it is slightly cheaper to buy but is still great for off-road use.
