Illustrator for windows?

Anyone know where I can get a free copy / download of Illustrator suitable for windows Vista?

Trying to get some designs drawn up for bumpers and other parts and having used this before thought it might be ideal - although Im open to other ideas of what to use?

It depends what you want to use it for. I use it just for sketching out ideas to scale. A lot of the architects I work with use it as a very quick way to produce decent 3D models. I find it a bit of a PITA, but I haven't ever actually watched any of the tutorials. People who are used to CAD seem to think it's excellent and very easy to use.

Anything I've built - kid's beds, AV unit, kitchen extension/conversion - I've always used Visio to do the plans.

Pages can be set up to scale, printed, images imported or drawn from scratch. IMO, design & planning are crucial, and Visio can really help there. It's probably shy from a graphics perspective, but it can achieve reasonable results - see my image of a winch bumper design below.

Installation Instructions

1.Extract The Downloaded rar Files.
2.After the files been extracted, open Set-Up.exe.
3.Now The Installation Should Begin:
4.Click "Accept" at the Welcome Installion Screen
5.Select 'Install this product as a trial'. Select a language and click Next.
6.Now click on Install and wait for it to finish.
7.If it asks you to close your browser, then please close it and click "Continue".
8.Click "Done".
9.Open Keygen.exe and Click "Patch Hosts File". (Please Note That If it says that files are already patched then Simply Click OK)
10.Now Select "Adobe Master Collection CS5" from the keygen and enter any name (more than 4 chars). Copy The Serial (Ctrl+C).
11. Now Open Illustrator. It will ask for serial number. Select "Provide a serial number" and enter a generated serial number from the keygen (Or Simply Paste it by Ctrl+V). When entered correctly click on "continue".
12.That's all. Enjoy using your new copy of Illustrator CS5!
