  • Anyone know how long Milners wheel studs are ?

I need to replace a couple of wheel studs (rear axle) and noticed that Milners list the same stud for both front and rear axles.

From memory the fronts are 5mm shorter than the rears - I think the measurements are 45mm and 50mm.

I don't want to fit a stud 5mm too short to the rear axle so was wondering if anyone knows how long the Milners ones are.

I will email them in a minute but really wanted to order this evening so if anyone knows it will be a big help.

    Cheers,
    Rob.

They should be different, the rear stud has a much longer splined part under the head.

Its a bit off, if they are selling rear ones, the lead-in of the spline will stick through the hub and may bottom out the nut, if htey are selling front ones, then you'll have less thread sticking through on the rear.

I'd just get them from Roughtrax, they list front and rears seperately, with different part numbers.

      Thanks Tony,

Reason I was asking is there's a bit of a difference in price between RT and Milners and I was going to buy 12...

I emailed Milners last night but no response yet.

Don't move a back axle up your garden on your own by flipping it end over end ?
