Sorry no pics as Wifey has Camera. I have just refitted my Starter and found a small black what seems like a filter, it is 32mm long 25mm od has four 5mm holes around the diameter an 8mm hole where I guess it fits. It must be something around the throttle body, its not the one on top of throttle body but very simular. By the way the Motor brushes were fine just needed a good clean as a couple were sticking.

It's the vent from one of the VSVs.

Wherw would I find the location Andy ?

There are a couple at the back of the EGR and I think there are one or two around the throttle body (below and towards the front of the engine?) . You'll see the wee black stub, that's where the vent/filter goes on. It's hard to describe without a pikchur.

Thee's two VSVs under manifold above starter so probably one of them.

Here's a pic of the bracket and one VSV, the other has been removed.
