  • I got one!

I am the proud new owner of a nice m reg surf 3.0 auto in blue. well chuffed!

deposit paid today and pic her up on thursday or friday.

Shes a bit scruffy, but has a full years mot, 6 months tax, and all the bits and bobs work.

i'll put pics up when i get her on Friday, and tell you more then.

From the test drive, i havea question. the steering wasnt quite right, with the truck pulling tothe curb. whats the first things to look for when i get under and have a good poke around? (tires have seen better days so i thought it may be that and for the price i wasnt fussed)

Was it the one in the link you deleated? if you got it for around that 800 quid mark you did well, it'll tidy up ok and you can then apply to join the "shineys" (dont be tempted by the dirty side) that path only leads to expensive repairs, bad langauge, and humilation of being pulled out the $hit by a landrover
Too young to die and too old to give a toss

thats the one, offered the owner £800 cash. i nearly fell over when he said yes.

the ebay page has been taken down, hence the removed link. i tried to copy pictures but alas no luck.

It'll clean up nice enough, though i didnt wanta pristine one, as she will be getting her boots muddy. (and i have two shiney nissans of the skyline persuasion to polish already!)

              Welcome

as for your steering as an idea mines a 1995/M 3.0 auto i have just done

inner & outer track rods both sides
              idler arm
              pit arm

all for around £180 from roughtrax plus £30 for tracking the fronts

So its not really killing the bank

Wheel bearings and ball joints next, they cost a little more but not to bad.

Get yours up in the air and check for play on all the above it might just be the pit arm

                    pictures!

I am the third uk owner. She's up and running as soon as i get insurence sorted .(waiting on Aplan to get back to me)

like i said shes a little rough round the edges but with some tlc and effort she will be great.

timing belt light is on. how do i check the timing belt to make sure that what I've been told (that its been changed and is fine, just light wasnt knocked off) is right?

                    si

Brake caliper sticking on the passenger side, common problem.

Have you got any recent photographic proof of this claim?
