How about pickup'ing the Surf, grafting the Izuzu Grille on to the front of the Surf and just swapping data plates and number plates.

I did look at that option.
I would still have to do a LHD conversion as well.
I am now thinking of buying a crashed Opel Campo (their version) from Germany and dropping the Vauxhall body on that. If I get a 4wd version, all the better. I have to do the LHD swap anyway.
The Surf will then stay as a winter vehicle.
TBH I am loathe to mess with the Surf as it has always been dependable.
