Well it's cracking the flags here in Bradford & set to stay till after the bank holiday.
Is this the start of a long "overdue" summer or is this summer right now & may, June, July, august turn into a wash out.
If its not broke don't fix it.

Been great weather here for 4 days now, looks like I might have picked the correct week to take some leave.

S'funny you saying that about last years summer in Liverpool. My folks said the same thing.

It was rather good here in SW Midlands!

I'm off for 11 days from Thursday

well hot down here in Essex, been using the Vitara with the roof off for a while, i have even been pondering altering the door hinges so i can lift the doors off it as well although that means i'd have to fit mirrors on the front of it.

I fear I am going to have to give up this work malarky shortly and head to a nearby terrace where they purvey a fine chilled sauvignon blanc...

Have you seen the weather?! Surely 'tis far easier to flounce than sashay when one is wearing ones Birkeys?

Now you are just going too far. I demand a retraction, or my second shall call upon you at dawn...

oh...how very cosmopolitan. I suppose it's better than floundering.

Its going to rain, shortly...no change there then!

How are you getting on up there Gra? Have you settled in yet? Rain is an improvement on the usual sleet and hail I suppose. While I sip my cold drink, I shall think of you huddling into the corpse of a recently slaughtered reindeer for bodily warmth...

I think you'll find you're mistaken. He's not huddling and it's not solely for bodily warmth.

I thought you of all people would understand Paul. The call of the wild, the expectation of a bone crackingly cold winter. The real and present danger, just commuting between settlements at night. The privations to be borne, when there's no candle wax left to burn, and andrex is substituted for dock leaves and heather. To quote the great and venerable Bill Bryson, I want to be able to...

"look at the hills with eyes of chipped granite and sniff the reply...yup, I've shit in the woods".

It's cracking weather here too. I'll be camping in South Wales over Easter so, anyone there, prepare for a tempest over the weekend....
