You wouldnt say it was perfect if you'd been off road in something without a lid, i have a soft top Vitara, you soon get fed up with stones hitting you in the back of the head and ear 'ole and put the roof back on.

Ok to go roofless on a gentle greenlaning jaunt, or a romp on a beach, but not for proper offroading with the crap that knobblies pick up and throw about.

The roof comes off my wrangler on 1st may and I run a bikini top until October, There are no carpets in it so if it rains it runs out of the holes in the floor. I offroad it without doors as well. love it.
I like that one in Vince's link, just needs more lift.
