we are having the ceremony in the same hotel as the reception...
and we have free reign on music once its not religious.... and i dont do classical either...

And once it is declared "not religious" it's funny what they decide is religious and you can't do. I seem to recall something about "love honour and obey" being disallowed because it is part of the religious vows for example. I was most disappointed that I couldn't demand that my wife should obey me...
From a music point of view I would probably aim to keep it unintrusive during the register signing bit. There is plenty of time to party later on!
