  • 16x10" wheels help please

    Hello all,

have managed to find some 16"x10" steels for the surf, was wondering if my current 265/75's would fit these. If not what size would be best?

    thanks, steve

Tyre calc says 33x10.44 in old school so they should be fine..

Sorry Nik, but "tyre calc" is wrong. A 265 x 75 x 16 tyre is 31.65" dia and IMHO a 10" wide rim is too wide. 7" or 8" would be better....Cheers....Mick.

They might also fall off again.

If the tyres were on a 2nd gen they will probably be 15s.
I assume you have checked thou. I am with Nev the balloon side wall look is not good or practical

Personally, I think if a 40% sidewall can deal with stretches, then a 75 ahould have no problems. bearing in mind the op is only asking the tyre to "stretch" to the sidewall width of the tyre anyway...

As with the other way around, ie wide tyre and thin rim, airing down might pop the beads.

                  But,
                  There's a reason 265/75/r16's are fitted to 7" rims....
