    Ta.

    That's if they serve you.

Maybe so, but that's a totally uncalled for and deliberately provocative statement.

One assumes he had a puncture and no one understood him enough to mend it?

I know, maybe we should start telling folk exactly what we think of them? Stop all this pussy-footing around that we normally do...

The BBC said that is is perfectly OK to use Stereotypes in humour.

And personal abuse is character building. (they didn't say that)

I agree, but that drivel wasn't said in jest. It was the usual xenophobic crap that has been percolating into many of the threads on here recently.

I think Pitlochry residents might be a tad upset by that statement. Bit harsh.

I've been going up and down to Pitlochry now for the last 6.5yrs, my outlaws live there, very nice folks indeed, and i don't think i've ever had a problem with any of the locals. In my experience the ones that i know are all very friendly and absolutely fine to talk to, and they even raise a smile now and again. The service in the shops is OK so where's the problem.

There are miserable people everywhere and that's not to say Pitlochry doesn't have it's fair share but sweeping generalisations like that might cause offence not just to people from Pitlochry but from anywhere else in Scotland.
                            Now it's time to play!

Hey Scotspeople, I am of Scottish extraction and have family up there but we were treated like muck there (Pitlochry) and I won't forget it. It was like the League of Gentlemen. "Sorry, I cannae sell ye milk in case a local needs it later...".

Everywhere else in Scotland fine! I even like Haggis.

                              Yes, it must be me.

Tack throwing? I read about that later. Google it. It didn't surprise me.
