    F8-11 is usually best on any lens at 35mm, I don't have other manufacturer lens though but I did try a sigma 500mm once that seemed quite sharp but not quick enough focusing at the time, I also heard of others having problems at critical moments so it wasn't suited to my purpose, sometimes you only get the one shot. H

    ps. try high pass sharpening (google) it might just pull a bit more detail out of those you have

      Agree.. the autofocus was everywhere I had to go manual... if cloud allows I'll have another go tonight

      I was F4, 1/3 sec exposure

      Googled this
      * Aperture at f/11
      * ISO 100 (you don’t want any noise on your photo and it’s so bright there is really no need to go above 100)
      * 1/125 – 1/250

        Didn't take any pics, but I did see the "supermoon" driving to a wedding gig on Saturday night, biggest I've seen it in a long time, rubbed my eyes twice.
