I might be tempted to get one, is a TomTom the way to go? They are about £100 from Halfrauds

Tomtom or Garmin mate. I have the basic Tomtom kit (a Christmas gift from my firm) and it's never let me down. I bought my dad a Garmin sat nav for about £65.00 brand new and that is also very good, a slightly bigger screen than the Tomtom as well.

One of the boys a do the off roadin with has a ROAD ANGEL NAVIGATOR ADVENTURER 7000 that runs MM,so it is possible to have a sat nav running memory map.
