On US headlights (or any other country that drives on the wrong side ), is the beam mainly directed using the reflector or does the reflector simply send the beam straight forward and has to be angled to one side or the other just using the adjustment screws?????.

I can't give you a definitive answer but I would guess that it depends on the vehicle!
I have experience with US import motorcycles and some you have to replace the headlights on, some you can just re-angle the beam.
Have you got a more specific query that you'd like answering or was it just a general question?

Depends on the lamps. Some, like the Surf, use the lens to bend the lamp, and some the reflector. I think the newer cars with switchable lamps use the reflector system. My 4 Runner now has crystal headlamps that bend the beam from the reflector, and it means the glass can be nearly see through.
