courtesy light swich probs

hi folks
i am having a proper blonde moment here, i am doing the rear courtesy door light mod that toyotatony done, now bear in mind i am pants at wiring i cannot get the lights to come on when switch is open, have tried for two hours now starting to eye up vodka bottle, anybody any info would be great, also fitting waterproof smd strips to bottom of door frames front were easy just spliced into courtesy light wires looks neat, but as i said rear is a pain to get power sorted,can,t figure out where to join wires to no patience is,nt helping either what a pain for me anyway, any help appreciated

yeh got them sorted at the weekend, thats all doors done now they are a lot brighter than i thought they would be, well pleased.
