Plenty of cr*p on the forum over the last few days of how the country is going to the dogs but it seems that some of the vocal participants in those discussions are hell-bent on speeding its progress toward said dogs.

Fill the thing in. If you don't like the way the country is going, vote with your feet and f*ck off. Everybody has that choice, whether they think so or not and its the only action that will make a difference. If you have already done the aforementioned, you have no room to criticise this country in my opinion. I have made the decision that I will not live here when I retire if things continue in the direction they are going in. I'm not going to spend the next however many years bitching about it though.

I'm not by any means, Vince. I get kinda wound up with the general "moaning minnie" nature of some sections of our society these days. They'll bitch and moan until the cows come home but won't do anything to change what is pi**ing them off.

To my mind, filling in the census is not cow-towing to the establishment or selling yourself out to big brother. Its an opportunity to better inform the clowns in Governement of the true demographics of the population as it stands today. It has the capability to change a lot of things for the better. I agree that it probably won't, but if you don't encourage and empower those in government to succeed, you can't complain when they fail.

don't quite see how f*cking off 'makes a difference' surely if you want to make a difference you should stay and vote with say, your hands? Maybe in a holding a pen to piece of paper scenario or even doing something more active?

Why are you waiting until you retire if its a 'choice everybody has'?
