So i saw this as an opertunity not a failure...
Straight down the scrap yard and after an hour of trawling through the front of cars found the perfect sized electric Fan! of a Vauxhall Calibra nice and thin giveing me lots of spare room.

so ive cut the existing fan off back to the power steering pully useing a good old fashion hack saw, then ground it down to give a nice edge.

fitting the calibra electric fan in its place. at present only on a switch but will order Temperature sensore and speed control tommorow.

Its an opertunity because it gives me less problems when doing a body lift not haveing to move the rad down with brackets.

haha that why i cant send PM's?
did wonder dident know i can buy subsciption but will sort it tonight.

even with 1 blade missing was very very loud and put vibrations through the whole vehicle. also was worried that the water pump was in there somewhere dident want to fek the Barings.

But i wanted electric fan anyway its V6 Petrol so from what people say on forum i should be ok. im lifting the car and debating betwean 2 - 3inch to get 35's on so the electric fan will solve problems with radiator brackets.

I left a ring spanner on the top nut of a torsion bar adjuster once. Went all the way to the south of France before I spotted it whilst underneath looking at something else.

Hey, Andy, if you take that formula to it's logical conclusion, you can carry a pretty impressive tool kit, evenly distributed around the vehicle........Cheers....Mick.

I was timing up my ford Xflow a few years ago. I brought the RPM up to 4500 to time it up to spec when there was this very slight rattle. It gradually got louder. I switched off and couldnt see any spanners or anything like that, but cleared the ramp and restarted. I tried to locate it by putting my ear closer in the engine bay. All of a sudden there was a massive series of bangs followed by something very clearly being ejected from the engine bay as it hot something else in the workshop. It was a bolt from the water pump pulley which had worked its way loose!
