any one up for a spot of off roading sunday ? been there before was good fun and be good to get some surf's there to show the landy's how it's done

Tempted - I could do with blowing off some steam after the day I've had today. Might just bottle it all up for the next local pay n play day. (Which is only just up the road from me)

I queried if anyone had used this site a while ago and the general consensus seemed to be that because it was a sandstone quarry the dust might be an absolute bugger for getting into mechanical bits and wrecking them...

Who cares what kind of quarry it is, get in there and play man! Your truck doesn't care if its sandstone or sand or limestone.....

Erm... I care. Can't afford to go repairing the truck from recreational off-roading too much. It's my daily drive, my family get around in it and cos I'm stuck on a pretty low income at the moment (at least until September anyway) and probably no income at all over the summer I need to be a bit more careful than if I had a bit of spare cash floating around.

Mud, however, is a completely different matter!

would be up for that luke hill and ditch is OK the sandstone isnt too bad! its been a while since i have been! had good fun! there is a little bit of a mud course to the side of the quarry! and there is a lot of water! if you like to go for a bit of a snorkel! it isnt deep you dont need one but there are areas you do! but they are signed! so unless you cant read you will be fine! hehe!

i think its every 3 weeks! if you dont make it tomrrow give me a shout then i will probably tag along to the next one!
