    ive been into cars for years and have owned a track day car for the past 9, so ive built up quite a decent amount of tools

    but there is always some tools that you dont have and in my experiance you normally dont find out till you need them lol.

    so whats the special tools(and by special i mean large sockets and spanners) needed to work on a surf ??

    Dunno about 3rd gen, but for a 2nd gen, you need a 12 mm spanner and z 55mm socket.
    Non intercooled nothing.

                Nope...55mm. Because by the time YOU get to the hubnut, all previous owners will have beaten it up with a hammer and screwdriver/chisel/whatever fits in there.

                    I've only had to buy a couple of 22mm sockets/spaner, axle stands and a really big strong jack so far
