Royal mail - parcel force

I'm expecting a parcel and I'v been emailed the unique tracking number by the sender

So I enter number, number cant be found......I email royal mail and I'm told to remove first 2 digits and try again... so why did Royal mail give a tracking number that is useless

I then entered this new code ..it works..tracking info as follows

"we have it" ..but thats it,

I dont know where it is, when it will be delivered etc...

When it changes to "You Have it." - you know it's been delivered. Not alway to you though....

Funny that it made it to medway and now its being returned to sender as i did not collect it.. as i live in Belfast...
