The plans begin!

Well, the plans are finally underway to mod the surf. After spending the ENTIRE weekend removing stickers! They did NOT want to come off! The smoking cured, dodgy injector (diagnosed thanks to BUSHWACKER). So, today i bought some DA discs, 5 litres of primer, 5 litres of thinners, 5 litres of deep metallic black. So the rest of the day will be spent prepping the truck for its new paint job. I also ordered my 2" body lift and my 2" suspension lift including uprated torsion bars. Next is the tyres to order and the winch, lightbar and cb setup. Can't wait.

great stuff but if i was you i'd do the body lift and suspension before you put the shiny paint on

Had to laugh late last week - was taking my dad out to do some shopping (he's in his mid 70s and was in hospital for over a month recently when he had a partial amputation of his foot after getting gangrene).

He lets rip the loudest fart you've ever heard and stinks the truck out with a particularly foul stench.

"I hope that was just wind" he says.

No more news to report, its taken me 2 days to get my compressor running properly, good old honda engines!

Body and suspension lift will be done before paint, i've made mistakes like that in the past!

Will take as many pics as possible during the stages.

Ok, so, due to the missus, plans have changed slightly! The surf is now no longer going black, the missus wants it a really bright White! Not sure what I think of the idea. Was thinking maybe bright White, but deep gloss black flared arches and bumpers. What you think? Anyone good with Photoshop?

Wow, you're right, White with black arches looks poo! Not overly keen on the yellow either. Maybe a deep candy orange all over?!

Ok, plans changed ever so slightly, again. This one's a surprise, it's a love it or hate it sort of thing! I was very dubious, but now, I think I like it, A LOT! Pics should be up by end of tomorrow.
