What van?

Hey all
Just thought I would ask for some advice for my bro.

Hes wanting to buy himsely a van to transport bits and bobs around the country and isn't sure which to go for.

He's looking at an ex-AA VW transporter which is too cheap to be any good (which seems to be borne out by the guy not answering the ‘exactly how much service history?’ question I suggested he ask (its got 220K on the clock)

He wants something around that size (Transporter/Transit etc.) and reasonable economy. He has a very… flexible attitude to servicing so the more bullet proof the better.

Hes got about £2500 to spend.

Any suggestions?

The vw tran was subject to some dodgy turbo issues, but at that mileage it's either been done or it has managed tro acvoid the problem!

Hi I went to a vw t4 after my surf, mine a 1999 1.9td,157000miles on the clock, slow but it runs ok, but like anything thats a few years old things are going to go wrong. but i would recommend one, but if you need speed get the 2.5 tdi

good to drive but there rust buckets...looked at a few but all the vitos older than 6 years all had tin worm
