Also Yorkshire are about to ban the use of windscreen washers while on a roundabout.

I had something similar last year when I flogged a pair of old tyres. They came on alloys that I was getting refurbed for the Saab. I never actually used them, they had been in the shed for a couple of years and I'd tried to take them to the dump, but apparently they won't take them and you have to PAY to have some tyre place take them off you - hence why everyone dumps them in the bushes these days.

Anyway, they were legal but had about 6 months life in them. I put them on the bay, making sure I got a good pic of the tread depth, then had some bhellend telling me the tread was illegal and they were worthless and I threatening me to report the sale to ebay unless I declared them as bald.

I let it ride and they went for £55, to some bloke with a Jag who just wanted it MOTd before he moved it on. He was more than happy with them. And to think I wanted to bin them.

There are some people out there with a very fragile grip on reality. Scary to think they are allowed to drive and reproduce.

he works for dvla , dosnt that stand for driver and vehicle licensing association, which has nothing to do with tyre sizes etc.
basically he works in an office changing names on v5 documents

ive just spoke to a mate whos an mot inspector and he looked into for me and said exactly the same as already stated, the law governing tyre sizes is sketchy but seesm to be relating to 44" tyres being legal limit within discretion

and as long as tread doesnt stick out past arches its fine

Can someone put this on the ad in the question section for me please.I want to see what else he has to say.I will also put in the mot requirements for the tyres from what Ross posted up aswell.I just don't want people put off buyingh lucifer cause of the comments and so they know lucifer is all legal to be on the road

Couldn't resist adding my tuppence worth though as the guy is plainly speaking through his anus.

The vehicle I finished EMC testing last week is perfectly road legal (as tested by Millbrook who do type approval etc) and was sitting on 46" tyres.
