  • Just a quicky.

    Door buttons that operate the interior lights, will most/any toyoto ones fit the surf. Got a couple of dodgey ones.
    If its not broke don't fix it.

    Take em out and give em a squib of contact cleaner. Sorted

    Best to disconnect battery first in case the insulations a bit iffy.

      You mean the switch thing? Turns lights off when door shut, on when door open? If so, you can buy universal ones in halfords etc for £6.99.

            Yeah, switch cleaner's the answer. My middle and rear ones were cr@p so a quick squirt of 'servisol' and hey presto!

            Edit - door switches - same fix I expect!

                    I've got a couple of Lexus ones here if you want them, they're the same as the 3rd gen if I remember.

                            Maplins didn't have servisol so bought there own brand stuff, worked wonders.
                            Did the 2 dodgy ones first the decided what the heck & did them all, brilliant.

                              Nicely done! I looked out for you when I was down near Halfords. Thought it might have been the one nr Crossgates. Next time I'm up Si I'll stay a bit longer than a day and we'll go for a drink or something if you're interested!
