  • Wheel Help Please

    Hello Surfer's,

When I got home from selling my off-road wheels to Fingers21(a very nice guy) I noticed my locking wheel nut was missing from the drivers side front wheel.
It has been snapped off and there is none of the thread showing that you screw the nut onto. The normal wheel nuts were loose aswell, so I think some c**t has tried to steal my alloy wheels.

What parts do I need to replace to get the six threads back to put the wheel nuts on?

    Thanks for any help, Stuart.

You should be able to just replace the Stud - I'm sure an expert will be along soon to give you the correct size to get.

Then It's just a matter of getting the old one out!

            Thanks Tonupteabag,

            I will order 1 now,

I have put a locking wheel nut from the other side of the surf (parked by garage wall) on one of the five remaining studs and done the other four normal nuts up tight, will it be ok to drive if I take it easy?

            Thanks, Stuart.

I'm not sure where you would stand if you were in an accident - I'd have thought it would be strong enough to hold your wheel though as most cars only have 4 or 5 but then a Surf does weigh 2 tonnes (mind you so does a Range Rover sport and that has 5 nuts)

Front studs require removal of the hub to replace.
