Difference between surf and 4runner?

As above, can anyine tell me the difference between the surf and the 4runner? Im beginning to think mine is a mish mash of a million trucks!

I should clarify, i have searched the forum and think im fairly certain the 4runner is the uk model, but from what i can tell it came with the 3.0 engine, not the 2.4.

Did the u.k model have the common head problems?

The reason im asking, mine is a 4runner, but has Japanese writing in the usual places ie: auto box, visors.

Post a few photos - does it have the little parking mirror on the front wing? - rear spoiler? Chrome mirrors and bumpers? - cup holder above heater controls? Looking like a Surf

Does it have a heated fuel filter, headlight up/down adjuster on dash, and a KZ-T engine (noECU)...Looking like a 4runner

4runners also have different rear lighting and number plate surround.

I have all of the things you listed for the surf. Looks to me like someone has stuck some extra badges on!

Air con and the odometer in km rather than miles.
