A light bar out of a B&Q sprit level, i've been meaning to re-do my light bar for a while and since deciding to do the air step and keek the truck i've gutted everything i've fitted over the last 6 years,
this is what i wanted to do in the first place when i originally made the bar but then as now alloy oblong box is a bit pricy from metal suppliers, (about £13 plus shipping etc comes to just under 20 quid) then i thought of an alloy sprit level i had, even buying a new level would prob be less than buying box alloy, quick measure up and when the ends were cut off it was just long enough, ground the ribs off and the only prob then is the hole where the center level bubble was (or you could leave it in so ya could check your on level ground) or just cover it up, i made more holes to match only a wee bit smaller and cut some slots in the back, the pics tell how i made it, the marker lights were made from clear casting resin poured into some styreen moulds with led's dangleing in em, amber/yellow for the front and red for the rear slots, the end roof brackets and the ones holding the spots are from the old bar, i reccon this is neater than the double alloy box thing i originally made,
i have a ton or rewiring to do, so they wont get wired for a while,

I'll now get on with two heater units

Ian, there aren't words to describe what a genius you are. That's the sort of thing I dream of doing before I cock it up and have to throw it in the bin. Consider my hat off to you.

I certianly would still like them Gary, thanks, please let me know how much and i'll send or paypal you, (i'll also return your heater payment, least i can do mate)

And thanks for all the comments guys, it wasn't too bad to make although threading all the wires through was a bit of a pain and polishing it was prob the worst bit, i looked like a coal miner (polishing mops on an electric drill) that $hit gets everywhere, forgot to add that when the marker lights wee fitted i painted over the clear resin with some Tamiya model clear red and orange,

just hope i can get the truck out the garage as the two center spots are slightly higher than they were
