just spoke to tfl and they have confirmed that my truck is not in any of the catagories for the lez from today onwards and is not subject to LEZ. Which means that we are ok. got that from the horses mouth. we are not light utiliy vehicles we have private light goods vehicles.
Mine says it's an estate car on the log book. Mind-you, it also says it's a 2-litre diesel engine (which it's not). attempted to correct it by filling in relevent bit and adding a letter to say it's not a modification, but an error.....it came back saying it's a 2-litre....f***wits!
Put my reg in an insurance search sites box and it comes up either as a landcruiser or a hiace van
......The joys of owning an import!!
thats only if you dont modify your vehicle to meet the regs. The surf is not subject to this. However it means that any from outside london will have to make sure thier commercial vehicle fleet meet the requirements otherwise it could be very expensive.

Its very expensive to modify, my friend was quoted £3500 for her horse lorry (which what she paid for it awhile back!)
Its outragous, and when she called to discuss it she was told to buy a new LEZ complient vehicle!! What planet are these people on?
so now she's going to have to get rid of the lorry and get an old 4x4 and trailer (and take a trailer test!!), which isn't as good for the poor dobbin.

Good thanks, mate. Still got a job and currently also got a classic Merc and three eccentric vintage guitars as 'investments' in the hope they'll make me more money than a so-called 'savings account'.

How's the chair business?
good to hear adam , go by music street near tottenham court road, windows ful of silly money guitars lol , what merc u got ?
True, but if you lived in London and had a boat or caravan, chances are that you wouldn't have the space to store it at your house and would have to pay to store it somewhere. If you can afford to store your boat or caravan at London prices, then you can afford the LEZbians.
I think all of you think of London as some tower block infested no green area rubbish tip? Its not all like that! Only in the very centre! I live within the LEZ, in one direction from me its farms, in the other direction its crime and traffic..
I put my reg in and I'm not included in any fees. Doesnt this have something to do with the Surf being registered incorrectly?

Bloke I work with is in the same situation. He has horses and his horse box (a modified renault master) is not compliant. Since he is only a few miles in the LEZ and his daughters showjumping shows are outside the LEZ he is going to accept the £200 fine if he is ever caught within that few mile stretch from the stables to the edge / motorway.
And yes, it's money for moneys sake. How on earth is this stopping pollution?
