next to the writting on the inside of the case is a little stamped shape with hpf inside

its a mondaine 17jewel incabloc
all i can make out from the writing is that its gold plated
anything you can tell me or find out would be a great help

it says

mondaine watches ltd
10 mc gold plated
made in switzerland

at a ruff guess well its not ruff realy

with it not being gold or silver and haveing no date stamp

if its ltd and made in swizaland then them 2 marks are from 1960 on wards
but with that style of that watche i would say 1960-1961
has the trade mark was registered in 1950
and the factory made in switzaland in 1960
so any with them 2 marks are from the 1960's onwards

but that style is defo early 60's

Not sure what the question was, but if it was about value, not a huge amount, less than £100 anyway. If it was about quality, very nice. Mondaine is a good firm and that's a lovely one. I would probably date it mid to late 60s from the style, but will bow to George's judgement here.
