  • whilst in the loft

Hunting around underneath some old dust sheets in the loft,i found a couple of boxes of my old technics lego,so i decided to take them downstairs and get the rug rats involved in building some of the models.I had forgotten just how technical some of the various stages of the builds were, anyways it broke the bordem of the day the kids had a great time and i re-lived some great childhood memories. We are only half way through building the model so hopefully finish it off sunday. If anyones interested in what model it is,its the american big rig wrecker kit number 8285-1 this thing must be about 2 foot long.Happy days.

Fantastic stuff - kids these days hardly seem to do anything with proper "old" Lego or Meccano, etc, these days. Everything seems to be spoon fed to them on video games or the Lego/Meccano stuff are unique pieces that you can't just go & build "anything" with...

James May's recent programmes about this sort of thing are quite interesting if you ever catch them on Dave during a bit of spare time.

I loved Lego as a kid and remember building the technic's kits.
My lad loves Lego too so I get to build all of his.

I loved lego as a kid, I had two full suitcases of it, I built just about anything you can imagine.

Thankfully my lad likes it too, love playing lego with him.
