White Rear Number Plates

Whilst watching Primeval on ITV recently, I noticed that the rear number plates of the Mitsubishi trucks that they drive are white. I thought by law they were supposed to be yellow?

Any idea why they would be white, or is it just the producers poetic licence?

Dunno but all the polish, Irish, Dutch, French & what not are White & they drive over here & with yours being a jap import you might be able to get away with a White one to accompany your clear lights.

Wasn't thinking of doing mine white Si, I just wondered why it was like that on Primeval. The Mitsubishi trucks definitely have UK '10' plates on them.

It's still illegal to have white rear plates on an import if it carries a UK registration number.
