Have a good read up on the different cars aswell. The tyop gear site has some good write ups for the different small cars
We spent about 5 weeks reading up on all the small cars andf never really heard of the IQ till we went to Toyota and test drove one.

Richard, I LOVE the look of the IQ, but it was a bit too small for my liking. I don't tend to need much space, but if I'm shelling out up to 10 grand on a new car, I'd like to have a bit of room in it when I need it. I sat in the IQ yesterday, and when I pulled the front seat forward to where I could reach the clutch, there was still only about 3 inches of leg space for the backseat! If I were looking for a commuter car in addition to another car, it would probably be in the running!

Also, I had a VW Golf Cabriolet years ago back in the States. LOVED that car, but as the VW design has barely changed in 10 years, I find them a bit boring. While functionality is my main concern, a bit of style is important to me too!

Hi mate when are you planning on going to Norway? I think you can get there from Scotland, I've been briefly Googling about that since ages ago. But I fancy taking the Surf.

There are a couple of ways to get to Norway from Scotland, Swim, Fly or go to England first.

We've just got a Nissan Note. Was very suprised when I took it for test drive. Got the diesel version, goes well and does 50+mpg round town.

I'd avoid the Fiat 500. (and no, that was'nt me!)......Seriously, though, Nissan Note is supposed to be a good little car....Cheers...Mick.

I know, George, but some tend to do it more often than others!.....There's a rumour that a certain driving school are lobbying the DSA to get that included as an official manoeuvre on the driving test........Cheers....Mick.

I saw the Note today (or was it the Pixo?) and I really liked it. Think I'll pop over to Nissan and check them both out.

My wife is looking at a Fiat 500, 50/60+ mpg, stop/ start technology, no road tax and there's good finance deals available for the next few weeks.
I'd rather be scared to death than bored to death
