Nice thread on the charger and beetle. The fine foam roller works well. I did a surf board with it recently and the finish was very flat and even. Great for coating up and wetting out of epoxy

I did me lame rover years ago with Tractol self leveling paint.....
Brushed on, dents and all, great finish....
Mind i think it only comes in tractor colours, john deere green, massey red, david brown white..........Remember arrows are silent.....................
Don't forget to tell everyone its indestructable as seen on top gear.......

word of caution though - i tried it and just made a mess - its a trade on its own - i stuck to spray guns after that.

im off to the motor factors tomorrow to see if they have or can get some rubbers. might just black them. i think the body will look rather good with tinted glass new rubbers and a good spray job. propbably wont stay clean for long though. think im going to need a new windscreen as mine has a square crack in the top left hand corner. may aswell replace. is the chrome strip easy enough to pull out and get back in without it looking like a dog though?Completely bitten by the off road bug, and what better vehicle to do it in!

Depending on your budget, vinyl wrapping the car can be a decent alternative than new paint.

The chrome trim on my truck was/is bonded to the plastic subtrim & as such is one item. It's held in place with claws that form part of that trim. These tend to get well & truly stuck to the screen bonding mastic making the whole thing impossible to remove in one piece.
When Autoglass replaced the screen on mine, they supplied & fitted nice new shiny trim as part of the job.

I very recently got a quote for a matt black wrap on my 3ltr (from a company that has a surf wrapped for its own vehicle)
Was amazed when they quoted £1200.

might just get auto glass to replace mine then. i get free windscreens on my insurance. just been let down by the size of the truck too. its too big to get in the garage so we are having a rethink about the location to spray :-( stupid liftCompletely bitten by the off road bug, and what better vehicle to do it in!

As they've already done thier own that shouldn't be a prob,
Should only take 1 man a day to fit, and the materials can't be more than 400
WAAAAAAY too much profit methinks!
